After Surgery

  • You will be discharged once you are able to stand and dress yourself.   This will depend on the amount of sedation medication you received during your procedure.
  • You will receive verbal and written instruction from our nurses regarding medication, diet and rest requirements (please follow these instructions).   If you received sedation medications you may feel sleepy, tired, or dizzy. Our advice is to go home and rest for the remainder of the day.
  • For your own safety, it is important that you do not drive, operate machinery, drink alcohol or make any important decisions for at least 24 hours after receiving sedation medications.
